Meeting Valtteri Bottas for the first time.

In 2017 I was lucky enough to be invited into the Mercedes hospitality at Goodwood Festival of Speed with my family.

This was where I met Valtteri Bottas for the first time. He had his picture taken with us all and we had a great chat about Motorsport and how he managed to make it to F1.

Before we left he said he would stay in touch and he was true to his word.

I have met him a few times since as you will see from my other blog posts, and we stay in touch.

🟢 P1 ⏭️ DNF ⚪️

Last weekend we decided to drop into the PFI round of @thekartchamps for some extra testing and development work, with the work paying off resulting in heat and super heat wins, lining us up on pole for the final. However contact out of my control while fighting for the lead on the penultimate lap ended our final early ❌

🏆🟢 36th⏭️3rd ⚪️🏆

A weekend full of ups and downs developing the @tbkart.uk chassis, but a great tyre call from the team meant the final was all worth it, coming home with p3 on track after being caught up in an incident which dropped us to 36th on lap 1, a penalty which dropped us to p4, but promoted back to p3 after further penalties applied🥉
